Organizers Postpone 'Celebrating Us' Event Due To COVID ResurgenceTwo weeks before the Celebrating Us event was scheduled to return live to downtown Warsaw, organizers have decided to postpone it because of COVID.
Saturday night, One Warsaw President Travis McConnell issued a news release stating, “One Warsaw made the tough decision to postpone the Sept. 18 Celebrating Us event. This decision was a necessary one because of the recent resurgence locally of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Though disappointed, we continue to strive toward our mission of inspiring inclusion through support, education and celebration of all people. To that end, keeping our community safe comes first in that mission.”
Organizers hope to have the event in spring 2022.
“Thank you for the continued support, and we look forward to celebrating with you in the spring,” the release states.
Free COVID-19 testing is available at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. New extended hours beginning today are: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; noon to 6 p.m., Tuesdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday.
To schedule a vaccination, go to ourshot.in.gov; call 211; or check with your pharmacy.
