Is your child interested in learning about law enforcement?

If so, then the Warsaw Breakfast Optimists have an activity planned for them.

On May 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., they will sponsor Law Enforcement in Action Day at the old Kosciusko County Courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse.

The event is free to children 6 to 16 years old, but registration is requested by Wednesday because lunch will be provided.

The Kosciusko County Color Guard will give a presentation, and activities in the event include self-defense tactics, crime scene fingerprinting, SWAT team exercises, firearms demonstrations, crime scene investigation, police dog demonstration, dive team exercises and a tour of the Kosciusko County Jail and 911 Center. Photo composite displays and police vehicle displays will be set up at the event as well.Members of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club have worked with Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert, Warsaw Police Chief Scott Whitaker and other local police agencies to set up the activities for Law Enforcement in Action Day.

For more information, contact Whitaker at 574-372-9515 or Goshert at 574-265-2239.
