I would like to issue a challenge to Kosciusko County builders and investors.
There are senior condos in Whitley County and Allen County that sell for $100,000 to $118,000 with two bedrooms, a generous one-car garage and bath and a half. These are out in the county where there is no monthly water and sewage bill or city taxes. In Kosciusko County, the same housing costs $150,000 or more and they pay city taxes and utilities.
I don't want my parents to leave the county for the opportunity to downsize affordably. They have a number of senior friends facing the same dilemma.
