Independent candidate for Warsaw mayor Jerry Opperud believes there is election funny business going on in Warsaw. He says he will meet with county election officials on Tuesday. Opperud claims one person who is not a Warsaw resident voted in the city primary. He says that person falsely registered to vote using a Warsaw address while taking a homestead credit on property listed as a primary residence outside the city. Opperud also claims an elected official offered him a "consideration" to remove himself from the ballot, that a candidate misrepresented his place of residence to run in the city election and that someone entered a polling place during the primary and walked out with a piece of paper containing voter numbers.
