WINONA LAKE – An open house is planned at the Winona Lake Town Hall in May.
The open house is in conjunction with the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns community events planned statewide and is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 8.
Local officials and town leaders are joining city and town leaders statewide to increase public awareness about the many functions and benefits of municipal government in Indiana.
Departments to be represented at the town hall are the offices of town coordinator, clerk-treasurer, police department, building commissioner and town council.
The park department will be at the Senior Center along with the fire departments at their respective office locations on Chestnut Street and Kings Highway.
A town council meeting will follow at 6 p.m. in the town hall that the community is invited to attend.
“Winona Lake is a great community and we cordially invite our local citizens and residents, along with other area community members to come out to talk with us and we welcome all,” Town Coordinator Craig Allebach said.
