Warsaw Community High School and Area Career Center hosted the annual WCHS/WACC Open House for eighth-graders, current students and parents to meet teachers, tour the secondary facilities and learn about programs courses and career pathway opportunities. The Business, Marketing and Information Technology Department in the Career Center had drawings for prizes donated by local businesses. Prizes ranged from ice scrapers to T-shirts, from thermal mugs to medical kits, from sweatshirts to gift certificates – and there was a grand prize of an Apple iPad. Businesses supporting the efforts of the BMIT Department included American Table Restaurant, Boathouse Restaurant, Paypro Media, Silveus-Hall & Marose Insurance and Wildman Group. There were more than 40 prizes awarded, with the iPad grand prize going to Roxanne Leal of Milford. Prize winners were students (eighth grade or older) and adults who attended the open house event.
