I?don’t normally read News Views in Saturday’s Times-Union, but I had to smile about Gary Gerard’s column about Amazon.
I would like to say to Mr. Gerard, all you have to do is look at the city of Warsaw. All the stores that have closed — ReadMore bookstore, Sharp’s and Hall Hardware stores, Unique Bakery, Hull ?House, Kline’s, Thomas Dime Store, B and B Shoe Store, Boice movie theater and so many others. Why have 10 different stores when one big box can do it all.
Now the internet is demolishing the malls. All you have to do is watch the bankruptcy in retail. An example — look at Sears.
