One Warsaw will hold its third senior celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Kosciusko Senior Services, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw.
Sarah Strahan, One Warsaw Board member, said Senior Services will have lunch provided and there will be a concert.
During the event, One Warsaw will give seniors attending the event Christmas bags. Strahan also said Santa will make a visit, most likely done by Board member Travis McConnell as he’s done it in the past.
First Source Bank provided the bag and lip balm to put in the bags. One Warsaw provided hats, scarfs and gloves for the gift bags, and Humana representative Ben Snyder gave things like flashlights, tooth brushes and grippers to open cans. She said the bags contain things senior need.
Strahan said Senior Services Executive Director David Neff was involved in the Juneteenth celebration and One Warsaw and Senior Services were able to partner together for the senior celebration.
A lot of times, seniors are overlooked, Strahan said. With the event, she hopes seniors know they are loved.
