SOUTH WHITLEY – A Huntington Man suffered head injuries after a two-vehicle accident Friday morning in South Whitley. Officers from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department responded to a tractor and motorcycle collision at 11:17 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Ind. 5 and Cleveland Road, South Whitley. The driver of the 1989 Harley Davidson motorcycle, Curt J. Juergens, 52, Huntington, was taken to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, for head injuries and was listed in stable condition as of Friday night. The driver of the John Deere tractor, Brian E. Michel, 52, South Whitley, was not injured. Michel was pulling out of a private drive and did not see Juergens’s motorcycle, which was northbound on Ind. 5 when the accident occurred. The motorcycle then struck the tractor, according to an accident report provided by the WCSD.
