One Injured In Monday CrashA woman suffered an injury to her face after a two-vehicle accident at 5:40 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Parker Street, Warsaw.

Monique K. Craft, 54, East CR 650S, Pierceton, told a Warsaw Police Department officer that she was traveling east in a gray 2021 Jeep in the right-hand lane on U.S. 30. She stated she believed she had a green light, according to the crash report. As she went through the light, a white pickup - identified as a 2018 white GMC Sierra and driven by Kyle R. Jackson, 41, Roann - traveled into her path and she was unable to avoid it. The Jeep hit the right side of the Sierra.

Craft had a bloody nose and was walked to the ambulance to be evaluated, the report states. She was seen by medics, but refused medical treatment. She was taken to the hospital by her husband.

Jackson told police he was traveling north in the left lane on North Parker Street when he saw the traffic signal was green. He proceeded through the green light. As he was in the intersection, the Jeep hit the right side of his Sierra. Jackson did not report any injuries at the scene, the report states.

A witness stated he was traveling north on North Parker Street when he saw the Sierra in front of him. The witness stated Jackson proceeded through the green light and, as the Sierra was in the intersection, the Jeep ran the red light and hit the side of the Sierra, according to the police report.

Total damage to both vehicles was estimated at $25,000 to $50,000.
