One Injured After One-Vehicle Accident

One Injured After One-Vehicle AccidentOne person was injured after a one-vehicle accident Sunday.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, at approximately 8:31 p.m. Sunday, Zachary M. Husband, 25, South Bend, was driving north on CR 100E, approaching the curve in the roadway at CR 550N. Husband said he saw the road curve signs and tried to slow down but when he applied his brakes, the brakes did not activate.

Husband’s vehicle left the road on the north side of the curve and hit the road curve sign, a Kosciusko REMC utility pole and a guy wire. Husband’s vehicle broke the utility pole and flattened the sign. The car then overturned and came to rest beyond the utility pole.

Passenger Juniper A. Masterson, 19, Anchorage Road, Warsaw, complained of knee pain.

Estimated damage is  $10,000 to $25,000.
