LEESBURG - An accident on Ind. 15 led to a Claypool woman being airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Monday morning.
According to a release from the Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team, two trucks were northbound on Ind. 15 near Leesburg when the two collided.A 2003 Dodge Ram, driven by Brendan Zimmerman, 17, Claypool, stopped to make a left turn when a 1987 Chevy truck, driven by Lynae Stienbarger, allegedly rear-ended Zimmerman's truck.
Stienbarger suffered extensive injuries in the accident and was airlifted by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Hospital.
As of this morning, Stienbarger was listed in fair condition at Parkview.
The crash is still under investigation.
The Kosciusko County FACT team was assisted at the scene by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police, Leesburg Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS.
