One Held For Cooking Meth

LEESBURG - A man who allegedly broke into an abandoned house to cook methamphetamine was arrested by members of the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force early this morning.

Joseph Lee Stewart, 30, of 3719 Shawnee Drive, Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for manufacturing methamphetamine and burglary around 12:20 a.m. today. His bond was set at $10,000.

The drug task force received an anonymous tip around 9:44 p.m. Wednesday that there was a person in an abandoned house at 5116 N. Old 15, Leesburg.

When officers arrived, they found a methamphetamine lab inside house and and called for the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team to dismantle it.

Stewart was taken into custody without incident.
