WAWASEE AT MANCHESTER

TIPOFF: 8 p.m. Saturday

COACHES: Jerry Davis (Wawasee), Gary Goshert (Manchester)

RECORDS: Wawasee 4-11, Manchester 9-6

LAST GAME: East Noble 50, Wawasee 36; Manchester 75, Valley 41

MATCHUP: ...This game has one of the most interesting storylines of the season. First of all, Manchester and Wawasee are playing in the regular season for the first time in several years. Then you have first-year Manchester coach Gary Goshert going up against the school he coached at for many years, Wawasee.

GAME TALK:

Davis... "I think Coach Goshert's team has figured out what he expects of them. Chris Enyeart is a young kid who is starting to put it together with three or four nice games in a row. Our people inside have defended some very good post people this season. We are concerned with Manchester's press and overall quickness."

Goshert... "I thought Wawasee played East Noble very well last weekend. Wawasee's guards are very talented with good quickness, and they are good shooters. All of them can score, whether they shoot off the dribble or from the arc. They are patient, and they run off of a lot of screens. Their team has good movement in a half-court offense. They can play at the defensive end of the floor, too. Wawasee plays an excellent schedule, and maybe when they look at us, they may think we're weaker than most teams on their schedule. It will be a dogfight to the end."
