Tip-off: 6:15 p.m. tonight in Fort Wayne

Coaches: Al Rhodes (Warsaw), Rob Irwin (Carroll)

Records: Warsaw 16-3; Carroll 11-8

Last Game: Huntington North 73, Warsaw 64; Carroll 57, New Haven 52

Last Year: Did not play

Matchup: Warsaw is coming off a loss to Huntington North and hoping to get back on the winning track before sectionals ... Chris Wiggins leads the Tigers in scoring with 14.4 points per game, and he grabs 3.4 rebounds ... Steve Siebenmorgen leads the Warsaw rebounding, pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game and chipping in 13.3 points ... The Carroll Chargers are led by Sam Gensic, who averages 16 points per game ... Gabe Miller is close behind Gensic with 14 points per game ... Scott Bushong pulls down five rebounds per game for the Carroll squad.

Rhodes: "Carroll is led by Sam Gensic, an excellent two guard. We need to do a good job of making him earn his points. Then they have a couple of big kids underneath, sophomores who are 6-6 and 200 pounds. The strength of their team is a pretty good inside and outside game. Carroll is a team very much like ours. They run a lot of offensive sets and fastbreak when they have the opportunity. They full-court press more than we do, but we may trap more."

Irwin: "Warsaw is a good team. They have big guys inside. At this point we are preparing mostly for sectional, but against Warsaw we will try to keep the ball out of the inside. We just hope to play with them and have the opportunity to play one of the number one programs in the state. The real key will be to keep them out of the inside and keep them from dominating the boards."

CULVER AT TRITON

Tip-off: 6:30 p.m. Friday in Bourbon

Coaches: Brian Disney (Culver), Joe Bennett (Triton)

Records: Culver 1-17, 1-5 NSC; Triton 10-9, 2-4 NSC

Last Game: Culver 57, LaVille 54; Knox 68, Triton 53

Last Year: Triton 76, Culver 61

Matchup: Culver broke their 47-game losing streak Tuesday against LaVille ... Jayson Migonis leads the Cavalier scoring attack with 15 point per game ... Joel Lloyd adds 12 points and pulls down seven rebounds per game for Culver ... In the Trojan's loss against Knox, Brandon Zeider led the team with 19 points ... Matt Savill added seven points and four assists in the last Triton game ... Jim Read pulled down seven boards in the Trojan effort.

Disney: "Triton is a very well coached team. They have a tremendous ball players in Savill and Zeider. Then they have role players that come in and compliment them well. (Austin) Unterbrink and a couple other players are doing well right now ... Defensively, we will watch Savill and Zeider. The key for us will be to make sure our kids are matched up with them, and keep Zeider and Savill from scoring threes. We will attack their defense and play hard against their 1-3-1 zone.

Bennett: "Culver just broke a long losing streak. They played hard and really wanted that win. They went through a long stretch without a win. I knew they had the capability to win, and now that they've done it, they'll want to continue. Magonis does a good job of distributing the ball and scoring for them. Our key will be making sure we are mentally prepared for this game. This is our senior night so we will need to focus and concentrate."

Ian Reed chipped in 15 points while Charlie Roeder and Brock Doty added 14 and 13 points respectively.

Drews: "NorthWood is a good basketball team. They are a well coached team that matches up with us pretty well. They are not big, but they are quick and aggressive. We want to make sure we get out on their shooters and handle their defensive press. Of course, we will need to rebound the ball as well."

Gunn: "Elkhart Central will be a good game to help us prepare for the sectional. Good solid defense is a must, and we will need to shoot the ball well. You can't go through a game shooting 29 percent from the field and expect to win. We will try to box out and grab defensive boards against their big guys."

T. VALLEY AT JOHN GLENN

Tip-off: 6:30 p.m. Friday in Walkerton

Coaches: Bill Patrick (Valley), Gordon Mosson (John Glenn)

Records: Valley 13-6; Glenn 10-10

Alexander, Chris Adkins and Craig Stedman lead the Glenn squad in scoring while Matt Smith leads the attack on the boards with seven per game ... Valley edged Glenn 54-48 in the December tournament.

Patrick: "John Glenn has played pretty well the last three weeks. When we played them in the tournament, it was a close game all the way. They had balanced scoring the first game. They play seven or eight players, all who handle the ball pretty well. They play man-to-man defense. This will be a challenge for us because it's their last home game, Senior Night."

Assistant Coach Randy Schmeltz: "We played Valley in the Plymouth Holiday Classic, and they beat us by about half a dozen points. Mike Alexander, our point guard, is back with the team. We have won 8 of our last 10 games since he's been back. He has brought leadership back to the court. We are looking forward to the rematch with Tippy Valley."

BREMEN AT WAWASEE

Tip-off: 6:15 p.m. Friday in Syracuse

Coaches: Gary Hudson (Bremen), Jerry Davis (Wawasee)

Records: Bremen 14-6; Wawasee 0-19

Last Game: Bremen 60, NorthWood 55; Columbia City 69, Wawasee 43

Last Year: Wawasee 67, Bremen 53

Matchup: Wawasee is hoping to pull out a win in the last game of the season to get them on the winning track for sectionals ... Andrew Warner leads the Warriors with 13.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game ... R.J. Nethaway adds 9.2 points and pulls down 3.4 rebounds per game for Wawasee ... However, Nethaway and Warner are both questionable for Fridays game - Nethaway with a knee injury and Warner still suffering effects from a broken nose earlier in the year ... Bremen is led by Adam Mark who averages 16.5 points and 10 rebounds per game ... Nate Hudson chips in 14 points, three assists, two steals and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Lions.

Davis: "The Hudson kid is a real take charge kind of guy who keeps their team organized. He is a leader out on the floor, and the better he plays, the better the team seems to play. Friday will be an emotional game, the seniors really want to win on senior night. The key to this game will be to adjust to their multiple defenes and attack the boards. We're pretty banged up right now. Nethaway and Warner are both questionable because of injuries. We hope they will be able to play Friday."

Hudson: "This is an exceptionally tough time and it's common knowledge that they are 0-19. It's senior night and in three or four days we start the sectionals. We're concentrating on mental focus, we don't want to overlook them. They've come come close to snapping their streak with some good teams and we don't want to be the one who breaks that losing streak. They usually draw a big crowd and we're looking forward to the sectional atmosphere."

WHITKO AT NORTH MIAMI

Tip-off: 6:30 p.m. Friday in Denver

Coaches: Fred Fields (Whitko), Bill Torgerson (North Miami)

Records: Whitko 6-13; North Miami 4-15

Last Game: NorthWood 102, Whitko 46; Peru 89, North Miami 64

Last Year: North Miami 55, Whitko 54

Matchup: Whitko is coming off of a 50-point loss to NorthWood and is looking to get back on track before they host next week's sectional ... North Miami is one game removed from a 25-point loss to Peru who will be in Whitko's sectional ... Whitko is led in scoring by Ben Mohr's 13.4 points per game ... Ben Ryan adds 10.3 points and 7.2 rebounds each contest ... Joe Grant pulls down an average of 6.3 caroms per game ... Kenny Hanson leads the Warriors' cause with 19.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game ... Brandon Wideman adds 8.3 points and 5.8 rebounds on average.

Torgerson: Bill Torgerson was not available for comment.

Assistant Coach Jim Ryan: "From what I've seen they're a quick team that tries to be very aggressive defensively. They like to push the ball offensively so our defensive conversion will be important. They're a team that's well coached and I like their discipline. (Kenny) Hanson is good and they have a lot of kids who work hard. For us we need to limit their offensive rebounds and hold them to one shot. We have to show patience on offense versus their defensive pressure."
