SYRACUSE - Olen W. Fry, 75, of 13490 N. East Shore Drive, Syracuse, died at 7 a.m. Aug. 15, 2008, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Haven, Kan., to Willie D. and Mary Ellen Miller Fry. On June 19, 1966, he married Lucy J. Hostetler who survives.
He lived in Syracuse for the past four years. He was formerly of LaGrange. He worked as a plumber for several different mobile home factories. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse.
Survivors also include two daughters, Vila (and spouse Randy) Patterson, Syracuse; and Alesia (and spouse Vance) Stees, Goshen; three grandchildren, a brother, Andy (and spouse Barbara) Fry, Shipshewana; three sisters: Wilma (and spouse Freeman) Hochstetler, Concord, Ark.; Lydia Riehl, LaGrange; Katie (and spouse Dan) Schwartz, Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Fry, and a brother, Emery Fry.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Syracuse, officiated by the Revs. David B. Herr and Bob Jarboe. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the funeral at Calvary United Methodist Church.
