AKRON - Okie Lester Justice, 71, of 751 E. Walnut St., Nappanee, died at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 17, 2009, in her residence.
She was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Hurley, Va., to Hanable and Katherine Justus Lester. On Nov. 24, 1974, in Grundy, Va., she married Douglas Justice, who died Sept. 14, 1980.
She was a homemaker and worked at United Technologies, Bourbon.
Surviving are two daughters, Tabatha Blankenship and Diana (and spouse Robert) Blankenship, all of Florida; a son, Freddy Wayne Allen, Nappanee; two grandsons; and three sisters: Edith Jutus, Hurley, and Namoma Maple and Retha Adams, both of Akron. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Connie Cline officiating. Burial will be in Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
