INDIANAPOLIS – Warsaw boys basketball coach Doug Ogle and Tippecanoe Valley girls coach Chris Kindig were named District 1 Bob King Coach of the Year by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association on Monday. Honors are awarded according to IHSAA district boundaries, and two coaches from each district are recipients of the award. T.J. Lux of Merrillville was the other boys coach named, and Rochester’s Tony Stesiak was the other girls coach from the district. Ogle led the Tigers to a 25-2 record, an undefeated Northern Lakes Conference season and a Class 4A regional championship. Kindig’s Lady Vikings also finished 25-2, went undefeated in the Three Rivers Conference play, and was a Class 3A regional runnerup.
