Obama's Agenda

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
The first presidential debate is over and now Obama is back doing what he does best – a speech to a group of his adoring followers, instead of answering tough questions about the state of our nation.
Today CNN showed a clip of Obama’s speech saying that Romney must not like Big Bird because he won’t support PBS (Public Broadcasting station WNIT) here. He made it a joke while an animation of the beloved yellow Big Bird danced across a huge screen. Hello and golly gee, I believe Romney gets it – PBS clearly promotes an Obama presidency in 2012 and has a liberal agenda! Also, we are running out of giveaway money and PBS can make their own money like other stations do. PBS requests its viewers’ money constantly, stating that they are the only station with non-biased news since they have no owners. If you always believed this like I did, try tuning in when they discuss politics like the review they did after the debate. I couldn’t believe how all three twisted the facts favoring Obama and putting down Romney. They clearly owe their boss! As president, Obama was able to sign more than $100 million to PBS, which he did with a smirk, as he usually does when he signs a bill getting his way.
Be open minded. Tune in equal time to the liberal station and the conservative station or switch back and forth to get both sides, then form your own opinion. Or even better trust your own judgement by listening to the entire presidential debate. Then after the debate immediately switch off the TV to avoid being influenced by the commentators who must be loyal to their owners.
If PBS does not start presenting politics in a fair and non-biased way, they do not deserve our paychecks. They already have $100 million of our tax dollars thanks to the present government in Washington.
