Shaw also said two appraisals of the Parson property, bordering the southeast corner of the cemetery, have been presented and the sale of the property (3.451 acres) is now at city attorney's office.
The sexton said barbed wire will be strung along the top of all fences bordering the cemetery property except along Sheridan Street. The wire should prevent people entering the cemetery over the fences which then break down. Shaw referred to this group Shaw referred to as "summer traffic."
Lewis Dobbins was selected president; Warren Tatter, vice president; Ellen Hoffer secretary; and Bob Sandy member. City councilman Bob Morrison is a non-voting member of the board, replacing Jeff Grose.
Five deeds were signed.
The next meeting is set for Feb. 5
