Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Presents ShakeScenes This Weekend

NOTRE DAME – The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival will present ShakeScenes, a collection of Shakespeare’s “greatest hits,” Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Notre Dame’s Washington Hall. Coordinated by Christy Burgess, each free performance offers a completely different series of 10-minute scenes that are sure to inspire and delight the entire family, according to a provided press release. See Darth Vader as “King Henry V,” Romeo and Juliet meet at a middle school dance, Shakespeare's poetry used as pick-up lines and interpreted in sign language. Over the course of one weekend, actors of all ages from throughout the community take to the stage with their own unique spin on some of Shakespeare’s most beloved works.
