NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday, May12, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana. The purpose of this Hearing is to hear a variance request, #02-08-BZA, filed by William Martz, 754 S. Jackson St, Nappanee, IN 46550. The request is for a variance from the Nappanee Unified Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinance to allow the construction of a 6 foot front porch with a 1 foot overhang which will encroach 4 foot into the 25 foot front yard set back established by the original plat of Southwood Subdivision. The property is located at 754 S. Jackson Street. Nappanee, IN LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY: Lot Numbered Seventeen (17) in Southwood Addition to the City of Nappanee, Indiana; as recorded in Plat Book 13, page 75 of the records in the Office of the Recorder of Elkhart County, Indiana. A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered. All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
