NOTICE OF PUBLIC BIDS TO JAMES E. SCHUMAKER STATE OF INDIANA ss: COUNTY OF KOSCIUSKO Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9-1 et seq., as adopted by Kosciusko County Ordinance 11-11-22-001, James E. Schumaker was ordered on September 4, 2014 to demolish and remove the unsafe building located on real property situate in Kosciusko County, Indiana, which real property is commonly known as 690 East Lakewood Avenue, Warsaw, Indiana, and legally described as follows: Lot Number Thirty-two (32) and the West Twenty-three (23) feet, as determined by parallel lines of Lot Number Thirty-three (33) in the plat of Winona Beach, as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 95, in the Recorder’s Office of Kosciusko County, Indiana. That the said order was affirmed by the hearing authority on October 23, 2014, but that the order was not complied with, and that, accordingly, a contract is to be let at public bid to a contractor with all necessary licensing and legal qualifications and who is bonded to accomplish work to comply with the order. That the work to be accomplished is the demolition and removal of the unsafe building (which includes both the residential structure and the one-car garage located thereon) located at 690 East Lakewood Avenue, Warsaw, Indiana, including pumping and filling of any septic tank and/or drywell and grading and seeding, but excluding removal of concrete slab foundations. Both the bid price of the contractor who accomplishes the work and an amount representing a reasonable estimate of the cost incurred by the enforcement authority in processing the matter of the unsafe premises may, if not paid, be recorded after a hearing as a lien against all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a contract purchaser in the unsafe premises. Sealed bids will be received by the Kosciusko County Health Department, 100 West Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, until 1:00 PM prevailing local time on the 4th day of December, 2014. All bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Kosciusko Courthouse at 100 West Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580, on 4th day of December, 2014, at 3:00 PM, in the Old Courtroom located on the Second Floor.
