NAPPANEE - Love, jealousy and comedy all can be found at NorthWood High School's production of Rodger's and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!"
The play follows the story of two cowboys, Curly McLain and Will Parker, attempting to win the hearts of their sweethearts, Laurey Williams and Ado Annie Carnes, despite the interference of the evil ranch hand Jud Fry and a traveling peddler, Ali Hakim.Set in the 1950s, the play also displays the changes experienced as Oklahoma altered from Indian territory to statehood. The production stars the musical talents of Christopher Rivera, Corrie Hanke, Wesley Kirkwood, Jill Focht, Tyler Phillips and Josiah Telschow.
Production dates are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with a final performance Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and students. Fun, family friendly and filled with an all-star cast, "Oklahoma!" is a musical cherished by all.
