The NorthWood Panthers matched up with their first Northern Lakes Conference opponent Friday and in the process, picked up their second win of the season by beating Concord 53-51.
The Panthers outrebounded Concord 33-20 and hit 16 free throws. The Minutemen got to the line only 13 times. NorthWood took the lead at the end of the first quarter, and then held Concord to only eight points in the second to go into halftime with a five-point lead. Darin Nunemaker led the Panthers with 18 points, and Charlie Roeder scored five points and grabbed 15 boards.
