A North Webster man will serve 20 years in prison for dealing drugs.
Timothy Alan Elliott, 42, 6835 E. CR 800N, North Webster, was sentenced for dealing methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 2 felony. Three additional criminal charges were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Elliott was sentenced in Kosciusko Superior Court One on Monday, Oct. 26.
Kosciusko Superior Court I Judge Karin McGrath sentenced Elliott to 20 years in the Indiana Department of Correction. He has 172 days of jail time credit.
At sentencing, defense attorney Joseph Bauer said Elliott had previously served time at Westville Correctional Facility, describing him as a "model inmate" during that time. Bauer also noted Elliott had been specifically housed there due to several physical health ailments.
McGrath said she wasn't without sympathy for Elliott's health but "the worst possible thing is adding illicit substances to this in addition to dealing." She said Elliott's prior criminal history included drug dealing convictions and that "it's difficult to come up with any mitigators in this case."
Affidavit Of Probable Cause
Sometime in September 2024, the Narcotics Enforcement Team 43 Drug Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of 8.3 grams of meth from Elliott.
Elliott was previously convicted of dealing meth in Kosciusko County in January 2019.
