North Webster Looks At Building Lift Station

Posted
NORTH WEBSTER – Town council members agreed to have utilities manager Mike Noe gather bids to begin construction of a lift station on Stanley Street.
The lift station will be on Stanley Street near East Governor’s Lane. Noe said he will need to remove two trees and see what he can do about building a wall to keep the lake bank down.
Council also authorized 275 extra hours of overtime for North Webster police officers this year at the request of Police Chief Greg Church. And Church reported that Clay Rieder, an officer hired in summer,  is about a third of the way through his 15-week police academy training and will return  to the force in March.
And during a year-end meeting Dec. 28, council accepted a bid from JM Roberts Farms LLC for a three-year lease of 20 acres of land north of town that  North Webster owns. JM Roberts Farms, which was one of three bids submitted, bid $200 an acre.
