North Judson Erupts Early, Often In 62-6 Rout Of Trojans

BOURBON – North Judson executed every play it ran in the first two quarters to take an easy 55-0 lead into the half. The Blue Jays never looked back in a 62-6 rout of Triton Friday night. Leading the way for the Blue Jays were their seniors. Quarterback Brice Wilde completed one pass out of three for 28 yards and a touchdown. He also ran eight times for 84 yards with a touchdown. Running back Jordan Schultz had 163 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns. Brennan Widle ran for 121 yards on just nine carries, and and wide receiver Joe Ingram took their team to a victory over the Triton Trojans. Triton only had one first down in the first half to North Judson’s 12. The Trojans had four turnovers, whereas North Judson didn’t have any. North Judson had a total of 385 total yards to Triton’s 27. Triton got a little momentum at the end of the third quarter recovering a fumble, then Triton running back Jeremy Jones ran 72 yards for a touchdown. Triton head coach Ron brown said the game plan was to stop the Blue Jays’ running game, but that didn’t happen. “We can only get better after this game,” he said. “We need to figure out what we need to work on and hopefully be better by next week.” The Trojans fell to 1-6, 1-5 in the Hoosier North Athletic conference, and have two games left and will face Knox on the road on Friday.
