Editor, Times-Union: 2015 was a good year; but now in 2016 we must all beware, all norms will be challenged. It is time to wake up the church. Record-breaking storms have hit flood stage in New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. There were 21 deaths and many more without power or homeless as a result of a warm El Nino weather pattern with record-breaking rain storms and tornadoes. The lukewarm attitudes and apathy have no place in the church of today, but people of this sort are in every pew in the church. This kind of sickness will bring nothing but judgements from God above and persecution from ISIS and other terrorist groups. O Lord, please give your people courage, boldness and the power of the Holy Spirit to reach out to every corner of the earth with the Gospel until you return. Satan knows his time is short and he will unleash his power on God’s people. This house of cards called the USA is just like Israel of the Old Testament. We are on the verge of financial collapse from within. Examples are everywhere: the federal government just keeps on spending and spending our money. Congress just passed a very large spending bill and then our president “spends” Christmas in Hawaii. Besides that all of them just keep on drawing a pay check, and then they will give themselves a raise when they are back in office. Rome of the Bible times and Greece of the European Market imploded from within. The ruins of the Coliseum stand as a reminder of the great fallen countries of the past. Franklin Graham left the Republican party in frustration and disgust. Anne Graham said to world leaders, ”If you forsake God, he will forsake you.” Wake up.....Wake up.....Wake up! If you keep on doing the same things over and over again how can you expect different results? Jon Siesennop Warsaw
