PHOENIX, Ariz. – Norma Jean Strauss, 88, Phoenix, Ariz., and formerly of Warsaw, passed away Sept. 22, 2014. She was born in Warsaw. She was married for 59 years to her loving husband, William E. Strauss, who preceded her in death in 2003. She moved to Arizona in 1952. She graduated from Arizona State University in 1962, and then taught in the Madison Elementary School District her entire career. She was a 50-year member of ADK, an altruistic sorority of educators. Surviving are her son, William E. Jr.; her daughter, Sue Townsend; two brothers, Richard and Ted Dobbins, both of Warsaw; a sister, JoAnn Haupert, California; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
