WABASH – Norma Jean Slagle, 77, of rural Wabash, died at 2 p.m. May 16, 2012, in her residence.
She was born March 21, 1935, in Kosciusko County, to Kenneth and Mary Phillips Fawley. On Nov. 10, 1957, in Warsaw, she married Dan R. Slagle, who survives.
She was a receptionist at American Health Network, Wabash, for 23 years and was a member of Lincolnville United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years.
Also surviving are three children: Don Slagle, Wabash; Betty (and spouse Greg) McLain, North Manchester; and Karen (and spouse Todd) Gerst, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Max (and spouse Janice) Fawley, Warsaw; and two sisters, Janet (and spouse Jack) Rowe and Doris (and spouse Russell) Alderfer, all of Argos. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lincolnville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Melissa Rice and Sam Strange officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine Cemetery.
