Norma Deane Caperton, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 5:20 a.m. March 25, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to Hughbert and Lois Pampel Woods. On Aug. 18, 1951, she married Donald L. Caperton, who passed away Jan. 6, 2004.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 22 years where she was a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Thorton Township High School in Harvey, Ill. She was an accomplished artist in different media, her favorite being oil painting.
She enjoyed spending her childhood summers in Remington at her Aunt Ruth and Uncle Tom's farm. She was a homemaker, a beloved mother and grandmother.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ronald Caperton, Chicago; three daughters: Sandra Caperton, Wheaton, Ill.; Patricia (and spouse Robert) Maher, Findlay, Ohio; Kathleen (and spouse Gordon) Fuerst, Perrysburg, Ohio; three grandchildren: Rebecca and Matthew Fuerst and Anthony Maher; and her sister, Myrna Bryson, Deland, Fla. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 11 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Dr. Erik Ohman, of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial and a graveside service will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
