SYRACUSE - Norma D. Henwood, 94, of 6716 N. CR 500E, Syracuse, died at 8:09 p.m. Dec. 19, 2009, in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 22, 1915, in South Milford, to Perry A. and Didamie Potter Irwin. In 1933, she married Franklin Harvey Henwood, who died in 1992.
Living in the Syracuse area since 1933, she was a homemaker and was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Anna (and spouse Richard) Clay, Warsaw, and Noreta Mort, North Webster; a son, Leroy "Buck" (and spouse Judy) Henwood, Syracuse; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Fern Enos, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Alice Allen, Dowagiac, Mich. She was preceded in death by a son, nine brothers and four sisters.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Leesburg Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating.
