Nominations for business and individual recognition awards are now being sought by the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce. The awards will be presented at the chamber's annual dinner meeting in January.
Dimensions of Excellence Awards are given in four categories. General Business Award is for any business, except industry. The Small Industry Award goes to a manufacturing or processing firm with fewer than 200 employees, and the Large Industry Award for one with more than 200 employees. The Entrepreneur Award is aimed at a business or industrial firm that is more than three years old. Deadline for Dimensions of Excellence Awards submissions is today.
The 2000 Man and Woman of the Year Awards honor two individuals who are Kosciusko County residents and have been for no less than five years, and who have made a contribution that results in a positive impact on the quality of life in the county.
The Athena Award, part of a national program, recognizes an individual for business or professional accomplishments, community service and especially for mentoring others and providing a role model to encourage women to achieve their full leadership potential. Both men and women are eligible for the Athena Award.
Government Excellence Award goes to an elected or appointed official who is in office or has been out of office no more than two years; and is in any level of government, including county, city or township offices, school and library boards, state and federal offices, etc.
