The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the business and individual community leadership awards that will be presented at its annual meeting that will be held in January.
A new award has been added for 2009 recognition. The Chamber has partnered with the newly formed Kosciusko Business Leadership Network and will be presenting the Employer of the Year Award.The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the business and individual community leadership awards that will be presented at its annual meeting that will be held in January.
A new award has been added for 2009 recognition. The Chamber has partnered with the newly formed Kosciusko Business Leadership Network and will be presenting the Employer of the Year Award.
The new Employer of the Year Award will recognize employers for outstanding achievements in enhancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
The award will be presented to employers that are nominated who demonstrate achievements in promoting supported employment, making accommodations and including people with disabilities in their place of work.
The deadline for nominations for the Kosciusko Business Leadership Network Employer of the Year Award is Oct. 30.
Nominations for the Dimensions of Excellence Awards for industry, entrepreneurship, service and general business, along with the government excellence award and the man and woman of the year awards are also being sought by the chamber.
The deadline for these awards is Nov. 6.
Forms for the submission of the various awards will be published in the Times-Union. Nomination forms also are available online at the chamber's Web site www.wkchamber.com, by e-mail request to info@wkchamber.com, by calling the chamber office at 574-267-6311 or by visiting the chamber office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
