I just read Harold Kitson's recent letter regarding gun control. He mentions that I had to "hit" him with my recent letter regarding gun control. In my argument, that I felt gun control was good, I recounted the story of the young boy in Massaschusetts that accidentally shot and killed himself with an Uzi at a gun fair just recently.
I wasn't being sarcastic when I asked why it was OK for an 8-year-old boy to handle an Uzi. I truly do not understand how this can bel legal. I'm glad you agree that accident was a senseless, avoidable tragedy. I think common sense should prevail, and with that I extend an olive branch to you.
