This Sharpei/Chow mix pup was abandoned at the Kosciusko County Animal Shelter this morning - complete with a bag of puppy food and a towel. Kay Amsden, shelter director, said that if people can't drop adoptees off during business hours, they should use the pens on the south side of the building to prevent the animals from wandering away. This one, affectionately named 'Mona' by the shelter staff, is only five weeks old, too young for adoption. Mona also is too young to eat the dry food left for her by her owner.
