No Injuries As Tuesday Fire Damages Home On CR 100NThere were no injuries in a Tuesday night fire in Warsaw.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory received the call at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday for a fire at 3456 E.?CR 100N, Warsaw, according to Battalion Chief Mike Brubaker.
When the first fire agency appeared on scene, there was smoking coming from the roof of the home. All the people inside the house had managed to exit by that time.
The property is owned by John L. Darling III and Doreen L. Darling, according to public records.
Fire crews were hindered by older frame construction and firefighters’ vision was impaired by debris blown in the wind.
Fire crews spent about three hours on scene before the fire was under control.
The damage was mainly to the attic, but there was damage throughout the house, but Brubaker didn’t have a dollar estimate of damage.
The fire remains under investigation.
Winona Lake, Plain Township, Burket and Tippecanoe Township fire departments assisted.
