Editor, Times-Union: Not many, and I for one, do not condone Mr. Mourdock’s remark regarding rape. It makes about as much sense as when a person dies and people remark, “It was God’s will.” God doesn’t go around killing people. Every abortion is murder under all circumstances. That child is human no matter who its father was, and it is still the mothers. It may have her eyes, her hair, her love of music and so on. As a mother, there is no way I would choose my life over my child’s. (And that choice is rare). I want the chapter and verse from scripture that says it is fine to kill your baby because of rape, incest, an imperfect child, the wrong sex, or golly gee, just because you don’t want it. War is war, buddy-roe, and no one has lied to go to war in the last 20 years, contrary to the liberal point of view. What has war got to do with a mother killing her child because it’s an inconvenience to her? Do you think killing a baby will wipe away memories or the guilt of watching other children grow up knowing she killed hers? Who are you, to judge me and my beliefs? The Bible does say, “Judge ye not, lest ye be judged.” How did that stop you when you judged me three years ago and again now? Perhaps you should think about the folks you judge piously and regroup. The far left seems to always have double standards when it comes to their views. Oh, I guess I just took a page out of your playbook. Perhaps your splinter has become a tree. There are a lot of quotes out there such as people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. None of it changes the fact that killing an unborn baby is murder.
