There are some people who may talk big, but when it comes to the Second Amendment, Curt Nisly walks bigger.
From the first day he’s been in office, Curt Nisly has stood strong for the Second Amendment. In 2015, he authored the Indiana Firearms Freedom Act, which would have nullified federal laws on firearms produced and would stay in Indiana. It would have restored the Second Amendment as the framers intended.
Curt Nisly has introduced Constitutional Carry Amendments in legislation twice, once in 2017, and again in 2019, but the Indy leadership was not interested in protecting our Second Amendment rights. In this past session, Curt Nisly authored a stand-alone Constitutional Carry Bill. Yet the Indy establishment has not even bothered to give these bills a hearing.
Curt Nisly has went further in support of the Second Amendment when he was the only representative to vote against changes to the red flag gun laws. The reason that he did so was clear to anyone who read the bill. They were putting in due process after the warrant was drafted, and not before. Due process is a fundamental right for all Americans, and the General Assembly decided to ignore it. Curt Nisly stood for the Constitution and the rights of Hoosiers and was a no vote as he should have been.
Now the Indy establishment candidate may think he talks a good game on the Second Amendment. However, when it comes to a record that is 100% pro-gun, the choice is obvious, it is Curt Nisly. The Indy establishment candidate may talk the talk, but I know for a fact Curt Nisly walks the walk on our Second Amendment rights. As a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, I will be supporting Curt Nisly in the Republican primary for House District 22. I hope you all do the same.
