Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
NIPSCO customers in the south part of Warsaw and Kosciusko County may have experienced a short electrical outage or blinking between 7 and 7:30 a.m. today, said Jim Manhart, community development representative for NIPSCO.
The disruption was caused by a vehicle hitting a static guy wire near Argos, causing the guy wire to flip up into a 69,000-volt circuit and locking the circuit out, Manhart said.
More than 1,000 customers may have been affected as the circuit switched to alternate sources of power, he said. The problem was temporary, he said.
