MILFORD - Nilah H. Jonasch, 95, of Milford, died March 25, 2010, in Lakeland HealthCare and Rehab.

She was born Jan. 9, 1915, in New York City, N.Y., to George and Nilah Harvey. She married Edward Jonasch, who preceded her in death.

She lived in New York for approximately 30 years, and lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio before moving to Milford in 1954, where she was a longtime Dewart Lake resident. She was a homemaker, worked at Bowery Bank, New York, and a was bookkeeper for Jonasch Plastics. She was a member of First Church of Christ Science, Warsaw, and the Home Arts Club, Milford. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed baking cookies and delivered them to friends and family at Christmas time.

Surviving are a son, James Jonasch, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Nilah (and spouse Dan) Brown, Milford; five grandchildren: Kim (and spouse Dave) Priest and Jennifer Senger, all of Fort Wayne; Jon Jonasch, Indianapolis; Tami (and spouse Scott) Lauschke, Canton, Ohio; and Amber Brown, Milford; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
