WINONA LAKE - There are only two Lakeland Community Concert Association concerts left.
The next concert is Romanza Music and is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Rodeheaver Auditorium, Winona Lake.
Singing of love, conquest, betrayal and heartache, from a melting serenade to spine-tingling "high C," the tenor voice romances. Romance is the art of the tenor.
Philip Grant, Todd Jang and Fredrick Robert have been identified as "three talented, young, classically trained lyric tenors who have separately been delighting audiences across North America and Europe."
Now together as Romanza, they have been winning people's hearts everywhere they perform. In fact, their official "launch" concert in Victoria, Canada, sold out to a packed house of 1,500.
The three friends infuse their performances with their offstage camaraderie, warming the audience with their intimacy and humour. Romanza have taken tenor repertoire to new heights by re-invigorating opera hits, Italian favorites, popular folk songs and well-beloved ballads with their own irresistible and original arrangements for the contemporary audience.
A ticket for an individual LCCA show at the door is $15.Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10-percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals.
