Girl Scouts Open House Tuesday

An open house will be held by the Girl Scouts from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Connections Campus building, 1692 W. Lake St. Warsaw.

There will be booths and displays from many troops and Girl Scouts. The organization is also looking for leaders.

Claypool Lions Hosting Fish, Tenderloin Fry Saturday

CLAYPOOL – The Claypool Lions Club will host a carry-out only fish and tenderloin fry on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. or sold out at the Lions building on Railroad Street.

  Fish will sell for $9 a pound and tenderloins $7 per pound. Salads, beans and tarter sauce will be available in pints.

 Proceeds from the fry are used for numerous community projects such as 4-H and Cub Scouts.



Burket UMC Announces Dates For Food Pantry

BURKET — New dates and times have been announced for the food pantry at Burket United Methodist Church.

Hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, Oct. 10 and Oct. 24.

The pantry is in the house beside the church. A sign for the pantry is in front of the house.

The food pantry is part of the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

Salvation Army Women’s Annual Fruit, Nut Sale Underway

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is taking orders for the annual fruit and nut sale.   

Several varieties of nuts are available, plus some dried fruits and candies. Order forms are available from any Auxiliary member or the Salvation Army office, or call 574-267-5361 or 574-268-7195. To download an order form, visit www.sawarsaw.org.

Deadline to turn in order forms is Oct. 5. Payment is due at the time of the order.

Orders will be available for pickup from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 15-16 at the Center Lake Pavilion.

Proceeds from the sale fund many of the social service activities provided by The Salvation Army, such as Kid’s Club and school shoes. All proceeds are used in Kosciusko County
