Winona Lake Town Offices Closed Monday; Trash Collection Schedule Changed
WINONA LAKE – Town of Winona Lake offices will be closed on Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Regular Tuesday trash pickup will be moved to Wednesday, Sept. 5, and Thursday, Sept. 6, trash pickup will be on Friday, Sept. 7.
Run To Benefit Habitat For Humanity Sept. 29
WINONA LAKE – The Kosciusko County Board of Realtors are sponsoring the fourth-annual 5K Build A Home-Run and Walk, benefitting Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County, on Sept. 29.
The race will be held on a USA?Track and Field-certified course along the Winona Lake Trails. Race-day registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m.
Pre-race registration is $20 for adults and $15 for kids under 13. Race-day registration is $25 for adults and $20 for children under 13. First-, second- and third-place award medals will go to the overall male and female runners, and first-place medals will be awarded in rach age group from kids to seniors.
There are also sponsorship opportunities for the race, ranging in cost for $25 for a name announcement and a mention in press releases to a $175 bundle sponsorship, which includes name announcement, name and/or logo on the back of the race T-shirts and promotional banners, a stand-up banner at the registration table and a large hanging banner at the race venue.
