Wawasee HS Honors Program May 29
SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School will hold its 45th annual Honors Program May 29 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
During the program, many school awards and scholarships will be presented. Seniors receiving an Indiana Academic Honors Diploma, an Indiana Technical Honors Diploma, graduating with Distinction, Highest Distinction and the valedictorian and salutatorian also will be recognized.
Parents are encouraged to attend, and the public is welcome.

Wawasee Offers Swim Lessons
SYRACUSE – Wawasee Schools will host American Red Cross summer swim lessons June 19 through July 19.
There will be three two-week sessions Mondays through Fridays.
Class times are 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and evening classes are 6 to 7:45 p.m.
Registration is Saturday and May 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at Wawasee Middle School pool area.

Picasa Class at WCPL
Picasa is a free online program at Warsaw Community Public Library. In this class, participants will learn how to edit, crop, make collages, and make black and white photos with a spot of color.

Road Construction Info Listed
Beginning Monday, lane changes on Old Road 30 will begin west of Warsaw between the bridge over Walnut Creek and Zimmer Road.
Hepler Drive and Phillips Drive intersections at Old Road 30 will be closed for approximately two months. Drivers are advised to use caution when driving in this area and be aware of road crews during construction.

Construction Wage Hearing Set
A construction wage hearing will be Monday at 10 a.m. at city hall for wastewater utility improvements for the partial demolition and facility modification for the Center Street wastewater pump station.

Triton School Board Earns Honor
PLYMOUTH – Wednesday night at the Indiana School Board Association's spring meeting at Christo's in Plymouth, the Triton School Board was recognized as a Master School Board in honor of its ongoing commitment to service and professional development.
To earn this award, each board member had to participate in ongoing training and conduct a self-evaluation.
The members of the 2011-2012 school board who earned this recognition are Terri Barnhart, Amy Middaugh, Jerilyn Anders, Deb Shively and Dick Trowbridge.
