Downtown North Manchester Cancer Awareness/Celebration Planned
NORTH MANCHESTER – A “Celebration of Hope” in honor of cancer survivors is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 in downtown North Manchester.
The event is planned by the newly organized Wabash County Cares and the Wabash County Cancer Society. The groups have united to increase awareness of cancer services, celebrate survivors and raise funds to support those fighting cancer.
A Survivors Lunch will be at noon at Zion Lutheran Church. Entertainment at The Firehouse will include Dakota Ray Parker, Larry Tobias and the “Eel River Rambler” (J.P. Freeman). A silent auction, games, crafts and other activities will also be in The Firehouse.
Wabash County Cares is formerly Relay for Life of Wabash County in North Manchester. The group works to support Wabash County cancer survivors as they navigate daily treatment expenses, medication and equipment needs. Funds raised by WCC will remain in Wabash County and be distributed under the guidance of Wabash County Cancer Society.
