Kiwanis Breakfast Saturday NORTH WEBSTER – Lakeland Kiwanis Sweetheart Pancake breakfast is Saturday. It will be at the North Webster Community Center from 6 to 11 a.m. The cost is $5 per person for all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk and coffee. Children under 5 eat free. K Kids is the elementary school version of Kiwanis and the K Kids club at North Webster helped with the breakfast by making the centerpieces. Several club members also will be helping by clearing tables Saturday.
Leesburg Sets Special Session LEESBURG – Leesburg Town Council will hold a special session Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the town hall to discuss the sidewalk program. Three policies from other Indiana communities will be examined, but no final decision will be made at the meeting.
Kindergarten Registration At Akron Scheduled AKRON – Akron Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration for the 2013-14 year March 4 at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Students attending kindergarten during the 2013-14 school year must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1. A birth certificate and shot records are required upon registration. Childcare will be provided for parents with young children. Early registration for kindergarten students is critical in planning for next year’s kindergarten program. If you have a child to be enrolled but are unable to attend registration, contact the Akron Elementary School office at 574-893-4646 before March 4. The kindergarten registration program will last approximately one hour.
