Indiana State Trooper Thomas Perzanowski was sworn in as the new Syracuse town marshal Saturday before a crowd of more than 50 people. Representatives from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, ISP, Warsaw Police Department, Department of Natural Resources, county prosecutor's office, Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, the entire Syracuse town council, Perzanowski's family and members of the public were all on hand to witness Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Rex Reed swear in Perzanowski.
