New Paris Accident Claims Life Of Warsaw TeenNEW PARIS – A Warsaw teen was killed in a one-car accident in New Paris Tuesday.

Annalissa Calderon, 18, Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 1:41 p.m. Tuesday at 67339 CR 21, New Paris.

According to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash news release, Calderon was traveling south in a 2007 Nissan Sentra on CR 21, north of CR 142, in New Paris. Her vehicle drove off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail. The Sentra then flipped over and Calderon was ejected. The vehicle landed on another guardrail.

Calderon was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

There were no witnesses or passengers in the vehicle, the release states.

The Sentra sustained heavy damage all over.

Her obituary, which can be found by clicking here, states she was born in Goshen to Pauline Rangel Uribe and the late Mario Calderon. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident, attending Leesburg, Madison and Lincoln elementary schools. A former Lakeview Middle School student, she was a senior at Goshen High School.
